Narrated by Ray Martin, this two-part series showcases two Australian families and their survival through the worst world wars in history. Part 1: Generations: The story of the Dolsen family and how they came to serve in and survive both WWI and WWII. Part 2: The Philbrook Story: Englishman William Philbrook's journey through WWII and his eventual migration with his family to Australia. The stories are told by the family members and then dramatically re-created for the modern audience.
